Bordeaux begins this year attracting the attention of the world. Already voted best city to visit by the Lonely Planet, it has just been named best destination for the year to come by the Los Angeles Times.
The reasons of this success? Bordeaux is appreciated for its gastronomy and its wine. Already famous worldwide for its wineyards, the city shines even more thanks to the opening of the Cité du Vin, a museum devoted to the history of wine that opened in 2016. The “sleeping beauty” is also admired for its architecture thanks to its many 18th century buildings. Finally, the dynamism of Bordeaux makes it attractive, in particular thanks to the new LGV line which connects the city with Europe’s high- speed train network and cuts travel time to Paris from three to two hours.
